Notice on Adjusting Certification Requirements for Parallel-Imported Vehicles

The competent authority recently issued a notice adjusting the emission certification and crash safety certification requirements for parallel-imported vehicles; the new rules will take effect formally from September 2026.

The notice requires importers to complete pre-review of certification materials before vehicles arrive at port, and to update the electronic information of the vehicle certificate of conformity simultaneously, so as to speed up customs clearance. Relevant companies are advised to sort out in-transit orders in advance.
